Diocesan Safe Environment compliance is required for volunteers age 18 and over in all Children/Youth Ministries.
Children’s Ministry – Adult volunteers are needed to help support our Children’s Ministry (4 years old through 5th grade). Children’s Ministry gathers from time to time for fun and learning. Vacation Bible School (VBS) – Leaders (age 18 and over) and assistants (6th grade and over) provide 5 days of learning, singing, games, and crafts for children ages four years old through fifth grade. Youth Ministry Adult Mentors – Adult mentors are needed to support our Youth Ministry Opportunities (grades 6-8, and 9-12). Diocesan Safe Environment Policy requires that at least 2 adults be present at any youth ministry opportunity. Volunteers are needed for Sunday night Small Group Ministry, to provide occasional meals or transportation, help with retreats and outings, etc. No prior experience is needed, just a love of youth and accompanying them on their journey to Christ. Youth Leadership Team – This team of youth works with the Director of Youth Ministry to build leadership skills as well as help share in the planning for the youth Ministry Program in the parish. Youth on this team are expected to be involved in youth ministry opportunities in the parish. This group will meet 3-4 times a year to ensure that we are meeting the needs of all youth in the parish and leading them to a relationship with Christ. Youth Ministry Adult Advisory Team – This team of adults works with the Director of Youth Ministry to vision and plan for the youth Ministry Program in the parish. This group will meet 3-4 times a year to ensure that we are working to meet the spiritual needs of all youth in the parish and leading them to a relationship with Christ.
