Mission: Saint Stephen Cathedral cares about young people! We are committed to building relationships with and among the youth in the parish, walking with them into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ, and empowering them to share that relationship with others.

What we value:

  • Partnering with parents and supporting the family/domestic church
  • Involvement in the parish community
  • Connecting with/involvement with the schools when possible and able
  • Community outreach and serving others

How we do this:

  • Regular communication and relationship building with youth and families in the parish
  • Youth gatherings (formal and informal)
  • Small Groups / Discipleship Groups
  • Prayer Opportunities (Prayer support with one another, Adoration, devotions, etc.)
  • Specific/targeted learning opportunities (bible studies, video series, etc.)
  • Fellowship opportunities (game nights, kickball, messy games, cookouts, movie nights, etc.)
  • Provide opportunities for the youth to be involved in the life of the parish (serve as a minister in the Liturgy, Parish Clean-up day, help with VBS or other parish events, etc.)
  • Retreats/Diocesan Events (Youth 2000, ODYC, NCYC, Holy Fire, Lazarus Retreat, etc.)
  • Service and outreach opportunities
