Pastor’s Corner

Hospitality Formation/Information: on Sunday, September 25 at 6:00pm, there will be an important formation session for Hospitality Ministers. Since we are combining the Ministry of Usher and the Ministry of Greeter into one Ministry of Hospitality, all our ushers and Diocesan Event Welcome are invited to be present. All who recently signed up for this Hospitality Ministry, please come. We’ll meet in church at 6:00pm, followed by wine and hors d’oeuvres at 7:15 in the Cathedral Rectory.

St. Vincent de Paul Workers: since we are celebrating this week the Feast of Saint Vincent de Paul, who had such a love for the poor and needy, all our SSC Vincent de Paul workers are invited to the noon Mass on Tuesday, September 27, followed by a light lunch in the community center. In the name of the entire parish, I wish to express gratitude for your respect and compassion for those in our area who are needy. You represent our parish well! Christ’s presence is often camouflaged in those who come to us in need. Since we have had a few members to retire from this ministry recently, we could use more parishioners in this ministry. Is Christ calling you to be His hands, His feet, but mostly His eyes, ears, and voice to the needy? Contact our parish office.
