Dear Parishioners,

Next Sunday is the day for which we have prepared for six years and have eagerly anticipated throughout the last year.  Our Mass of Dedication and Blessing will be celebrated at 3:00pm, and you are all invited!  Knowing that there will not be sufficient room for everyone in the Church itself, there will be live video feed in our newly renovated Undercroft.  Of course, not everyone will be able to come to the afternoon Mass, so we will have our other scheduled week-end Masses except the 11:00am Mass.   Following the celebration in Church, the Parish Council is hosting a reception for everyone at the Sportscenter.  The reception includes a pork loin/chicken dinner at approximately 5:00pm.  I do hope you will join us.  The afternoon Mass definitely fulfills our obligation to participate in Sunday Mass.

There is an insert in the bulletin today regarding the selection of Parish Council members.  Please give it your attention.  It will soon be time to nominate people for a three-year term of service on the Council.

As we have made significant improvements in the Undercroft, we decided to purchase new tables as well.  These circular tables are much lighter than the ones we have been using and will make the set-up of the Undercroft more convenient.  I know you will be very pleased with what you see both upstairs and downstairs.

In last week’s bulletin, I mentioned Adam Hayden who received the Excellence Award at Catholic High for his parish involvement.  At that same ceremony, numerous other parishioners were recognized for their academic achievements.  I can’t name them all here, but I was very proud of them and was happy to be present for the awards.  Congratulations to you all!

Love, Fr. John
