St. Stephen Cathedral Mass
Blessed Sacrament Chapel Mass
Published on January 15th, 2016
I. Welcome Back, Fr. Bradley! Since I have an out-of-town wedding, I am grateful to Fr. Ed Bradley, who will be celebrating the 9:00AM and 11:00AM Masses this weekend. Fr. Ed, who is my classmate, was pastor here from 1985-1995. Roll out the red carpet!
II. Invite Your Neighbor/Co-worker to our Ecumenical Prayer Service on Thursday, January 21, at 7:00PM, followed by fellowship in the Fr. Vaughan Community Center. How Christians need to join together as one! The theme for this year’s Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, January 18–25, is “Called to proclaim the mighty acts of the Lord” (John 4:7). All pastors and faith communities in our cathedral neighborhood are invited.
III. Sign Up Now! When is the last time you made a retreat? You have the opportunity to learn more the about the tenets of our Catholic faith the weekend of March 4–6. Beginning about 5:30PM on Friday, March 4, and ending on Sunday about the same time, this Koinonia retreat will make a difference in your life. Pick up an application at the doors at church.
IV. For Men Only: Last year we had a packed church of men who traveled from all over the Diocese to listen and participate in the Men’s Conference; it is in your backyard! Reserve Saturday, February 13, with registration in the Fr. Vaughan Community Center at 8:30AM, and the first conference beginning at 9:30AM. Join Bishop Medley for the 5:00PM Mass.
In Joy and Hope,
