St. Stephen Cathedral Mass
Blessed Sacrament Chapel Mass
Published on November 16th, 2012
We made it! Of course, as I write this note the Church is in great disarray as the Granda team completes its work, the pew components are being carried into Church and the electricians and marble craftsmen are trying to finish their projects. The plumbers are working on the baptismal font and the new organ is supposed to be installed tomorrow. While all this is happening upstairs, a crew of workers is working diligently downstairs, so that the Undercroft will be available for Sunday. I am sure I will have much to say about the Dedication and blessing liturgy in next week’s bulletin.
In the meantime, have a blessed Thanksgiving. As individuals, families and as a parish community we have so much for which to thank God. I am so mindful of the innumerable people who have contributed to our Restoration and Renewal project over the past seven years. Please join your parish family for our Thanksgiving Day Mass at eight o’clock Thursday morning.
I am sorry to report to you that Sr. Therese Francis will be leaving our parish team at the end of this calendar year. Sister’s Community, The Missionary Servants of the Most Blessed Trinity, has asked her to be on their retreat team at Holy Trinity, Alabama. I am so grateful for the many gifts that Sr. Therese Francis has brought to our parish in her quiet and professional manner in these past five years. Sister, you will be missed!
Love, Fr. John
