St. Stephen Cathedral Mass
Blessed Sacrament Chapel Mass
Published on March 16th, 2012
On Thursday, we welcomed a new person to our parish staff. I am happy to inform you that Jeanie Burke has taken the position of parish Business Manager. Jeanie is originally from Owensboro, but now lives in Henderson with her husband, John. They are members of Holy Name Parish. Jeanie has her Master’s degree from Brescia, and brings a variety of professional experiences to this position. I know that Jeanine is eager to meet our wonderful parishioners, and I am confident that you will make her feel welcome as well. Welcome aboard, Jeanine!
Because we are not able to use our Undercroft at this time, we have decided not to have our annual Fish Fry. However, I do want to remind you that Blessed Sacrament will have one at 5:30pm this Friday. Come down, have some supper and then stay for Lenten devotions at 6:30pm.
I also want to draw your attention to the schedule of Lenten Penance Services which is elsewhere in the bulletin. Easter is only three weeks away. Don’t wait; plan now to celebrate God’s mercy in the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
Fr. Brandon will be on retreat this week. I know that you will join me in praying for him, that these will be days of refreshment and spiritual renewal.
On Thursday evening, there will be a formation meeting for the parish teams coordinating Arise in each parish. I am grateful to those who have accepted this responsibility for us, and particularly, I thank Deacon Curry who will take the lead role in our parish planning.
Love, Fr. John
